WHIMS is also what is technically referred to as an Access Management System (AMS). Buttons are provided throughout the system enabling administrators to easily set viewing and editing permissions for users or groups. This feature can be used to restrict access to various parts of the website running WHIMS but also to control access to secured external resources.
